Teaching Methodology

The B.H.M.S. course is a professional medical course and the graduates are expected to acquire the desired skills for their professional work. Knowledge alone is not enough and it is only preliminary to the acquisition of skill. One of the major directions of educational reforms in medical school is a shift from knowledge acquisition to competency based learning, so the curricular time should be spent in clinical skill training.

To fulfill the said purpose, the institute has efficient teaching faculties in various departments who teach with their utmost proficiency. We are using various teaching aids like LCD, OHP, Charts, Models etc. We frequently arrange seminars, group discussion by the teachers to provide esteemed quality of teaching to the students. The same are also organized among the students to make them updated and more efficient in their theoretical as well as the clinical knowledge. We do regular evaluation of the students through tutorial examination, terminal examination and they are given proper guidance accordingly with special care to each student. The students are being provided with special lectures before their university exam to answer their queries on various subjects.

The teachers are also provided with reorientation programmes in various organizations or institutes to improve their teaching quality. They are also provided with various technical facilities to make themselves updated in their teaching.

Future Planning

The institute is planning to start post graduate course in various subjects (Materia Medica, Organon of Medicine, Repertory etc.) in future. Further expansion in hospital facilities in various aspects are also under consideration. Considering the PG study in future, we are planning to start various research works.
