PROJECTIONS - A National Level Technical Symposium is taking place for engineering students since 2006 under the technical sponsership of ISTE, IEEE, IETE & CSI student chapters, these student chapters functions actively for the overall development & progress of students. Here Learning through Fun & Fun through Learning takes place, it will provide common platform for budding engineering students to showcase their talent & skill. During Projections 2009, we had received overwhelming response from 81 colleges including IIT's and NIT's.

A National Level Placement Program

This Jobmela is the platform which provides opportunity to budding graduates to interact with various companies from almost all fields. Riding high on success of last two version of Jobmela, we are proud to announce the launch of JOBMELA 2010. Last year we had registered around 1200 students form all over india and 825 students had participated wsith 26 companies from all sector.

Research Methodology Workshop
A Faculty Development Program
Scheduled on February 23 & 24, 2010
The purpose of the 2 Day workshop on Research Methodology is to provide an overview on the concepts of research methodology. The workshop intends not only to enhance participants knowledge on the subject, but also to strengthen their skills in data gathering, information analysis and effective presentation of results. A problem solving approach will be used during the workshop by the resource persons in addressing concrete questions of the participants. The participants can discuss with the resource persons pertaining to the research problems that they have encountered. Therefore, the workshop would be interactive.
The 2 days workshop will be exposing the participants to theoretical input on quantitative research methods, application of SPSS.

PharmaFest'10
A National Level Pharmacy Sysposium

Pharmafest’09 to provide a platform to the undergraduate and post-graduate students of pharmacy from all over the country to interact with each other and exchange their views. The success of
Pharmafest’09 has inspired us to indulge once again in organization of such an event. Hence, we decided to continue with
Pharmafest’10, hoping to boost the students with new energy.During the symposium, students can participate in events viz, Quiz, Elocution, Model and Poster Competitions. The winners would be duly acknowledged.

Innovations in Pharmaceutical Research
In the light of the several advancements that have taken place world wide in the firld of Pharmaceutical research during tha last decade, to fulfil the need of the hour to consolodate the expertize and efforts done by the researchers in this field in order to achieve health care. In this context, Baroda Collage of Pharmacy managed by Parul Trust, Vadodara in collaboration with PIA(Vadodara Branch) organized a national conference on "Innovations in Pharmaceutical Research" on 8th & 9th September 2009.
In this conference, plenty lectures were delivered on various areas of Pharmaceutical research by experts from pharmaceutical industry, academics and research organizations. The National Conference also became a platform for young pharmacy researchers to deliberate on recent developments in pharmacy in the areas of drug discovery and development, drug delivery systems, quality control and quality assurance, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, herbal drugs etc.

Parul not only aims at a unique work culture, but also promotes
the all-round development of students. All games like Football,
Volley Ball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton, Carrom, Chess etc
are available and students can form their own teams or be part
of campus teams. If selected, students will get chances to represent
the Campus in inter-campus tournaments. Plans are also on to arrange
inter Institute sports competition wherein we shall invite other
Management institutes to take part. Similarly, we have various
cultural activities round the year in the campus, which include
debates, quizzes, rangoli, dance, music, drama etc. These culminate
into a gala annual campus fest which is a week long affair where
students showcase their talents. We got University 1st place in
following categories of Sports in 2009, Cricket- PIET(Eng.), Lawn
Tennis-Nimesh Gohil,(Singles), Nimesh Gohil & Jigiraj Puwar
(Doubles), Table Tennis-Rohan Desai (Singles), Basket ball- Jay
Buch, Kaushal Kadakia & Brijesh Jhala (Runners up).

PROJECTIONS 2009, 18th & 19th Feb. 2009
ISTE & IETE Students Chapter of Parul institute of Engineering & Technology have been organizing PROJECTIONS a National Level Symposium for engineering students since 2006. This year it’s a fourth attempt. The theme of PROJECTIOS 2009, was “Global Warming”. We encounter countless threats that can even destroy our green home in the universe, ‘mother earth’ and global warming is the most terrifying of them all. Participants of Projections 2009 have presented papers on global warming and spread awareness on Global Warming.
We have organized various events like Exalted Novelty (Paper presentation competition on technical and global warming), Hacker’s paradise, Kruti Prastuti (Hardware, Software & Architecture Model Competition), Robotica, Temperature Quiz, Witty wizard (Junk yard – Making best from waste), Ad making, Be the illustrious (Best Journalist, Best Celebrity competition), Business Baazigar etc.
Dr. Anil Kane Ex-Vice Chancellor of M.S. University and Founder President of International Wind Energy Association has inaugurated the PROJECTIONS 2009 on 18th Feb. 2009. Students of 60 colleges from all over India has shown their interest in this event and total participation was 955.
JOBMELA
The National Placement Program
Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology has acquired a prominent status by providing quality educational services in different area of Engineering. ISTE & IETE Students Chapter functions actively for the overall progress of students by organizing many in-house events.
Jobmela 2009 is a novel concept implemented by the management of Parul Institute of Engg. & Technology with fabulous success both from the students side & company side. We have more than 750 participation of the students of various reputed engineering colleges not only from the Gujarat but also from Maharashtra, Rajasthan.
In spite of the fact that the whole market is badly affected by the global recession Over 25 good companies (including France & Dubai based MNC) have conducted their Campus Drives at the College Premises under a single Roof. We also had 3 Reputed Consultants with us during 18th to 20th Feb, 09. Also many students got recruited in the companies with good handsome packages.
PHARMAFEST
The National Pharmacy Symposium
Pharmafest’09, a national level competition for students was organized jointly by Baroda College of Pharmacy and Parul institute of Pharmacy, Parul Trust, on 18th and 19th February 2009. Poster Presentation and Elocution competition were held on 18th February and Quiz competition and Model presentations were held on 19th February 2009. The topic for elocution competition was “Ask Your Pharmacist for Safe use of Prescribed Medicines”. Models and posters were based on subject wise themes, including the recent advancements in pharma field. Around 1200 students from 37 colleges from all over India participated in the event. Eminent personalities from academics were invited to judge various competitions.
Prof Ambikanandan Misra (The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda) and Mr V. T. Shah (President, Chemist and Druggist association, Vadodara) were the Chief guest and guest of honor for the inaugural function of Pharmafest’09.

The National Management Symposium
A two day national symposium of management was organized by three management institutes of Parul Campus i.e Parul Institute of Management (PGDM Programme), Dr. J.K. Patel Institute of Management (MBA Programme) and Parul Institute of Engineering & Technology – MBA Dept., on 16th & 17th February, 2009 in Parul Campus.
200 Students from 25 different B- Schools of Gujarat participated in 10 different events like Biz Grill, Fascia Canvassing, Creations, Face- to- Face, Treasure Hunt, Dumb Charades, Manuscript, Strategy Gem, Selling Point & Lucrative.
Rs. 1 Lac Prize money was given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd winners & also each participant was given participation certificate.
