Dr. Dipak Kumar De, born on September 18, 1939, who is dynamic person at the age of 70 years, and guides the Parul Group of Institutes to the new heights.
He started his journey with B.Sc. in (Textile) from University of Burdwan and stood first class first in order of Merit. In that duration he also received Two Gold Medals.
Then he did his Doctorate (Ph.D.) from University of Manchestor, Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST)
He joined as Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering of Faculty of Technology & Engineering at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Vadodara. Roles to the position of head of the Textile Engineering Department then Dean of Faculty of Technology & Engineering and ultimately became Pro-vice Chancellor of the University in 1997.
Deputed by Government of India to Government of Mauritius for starting a Dept of Textile at the University of Mauritius for two years i.e. from Sept 1986 to Sept 1988.
He has 18 publications on his name in different-different journals and seminars of National as well as International level, and has guided 25 Master’s Thesis as his interest in research activity, he also guided research students leading to Ph.D. degree.
He is Member of various bodies and committees for selection of personnel at state & National level :
- Fellow, Institute of Engineers (India).
- Fellow, Textile Association (India).
- Associate, Textile Institute (Manchestor)
- MSU Senate, Syndicate, and Chairman, Board of Studies
- Joint Council of Management Textile and Allied Industries Research Organization.
- Managing Committee, Electrical Research and Development Association
- Study Committee for the Introduction of Joint Entrance Test in the State of Gujarat for the Engineering College Admission under Director Tech. Education.
He was Hon. Director at Arvind Cot. Synth. Ltd., also he is involved in formulation of new academic administration system at state level.
He is also interested in Philately as Hobby.
